LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers made their 2022-23 NBA Preseason debut last night against the Sacramento Kings. Unfortunately for King James and the rest of the Lakers squad, the result was a whopping 30 point loss. However, it served as an opportunity for James to show off his latest signature sneaker with Nike, the LeBron 20. Officially announced last month, the LeBron 20 has been spotted in a variety of colorways, including a Miami Heat-themed look James wore on-court last night. Another seemingly team-focused colorway includes the purple and gold "Violet Frost".
Surfacing previously in an accidental release via Finish Line, Nike has officially revealed the "Violet Frost" colorway. The colorway sticks to the silhouette’s typical construction as a special "XX" dubrae returns in silver alongside a carbon fiber midfoot shank and knit upper in purple. Most notably, the LeBron 20’s lateral purple Swoosh is partially covered by an additional Swoosh in a striking gold. Hits of salmon appear at the base Swoosh’s stitching, lace system and tongue while a lavender arrives at the midsole, resting atop an off-white multidirectional rubber outsole.
Release for the Nike LeBron 20 "Violet Frost" is currently expected to take place October 15 via Nike and select Nike Basketball retailers at a price of $200 USD.
